About Us
What’s the Dream Horse?
Thinking back to when you were a kid, you can easily daydream of a beautiful four-legged friend in the backyard. You could run out to your horse and quickly jump on to ride through the fields, down a trail, over a jump, or even go win a blue ribbon! These cherished memories and daydreams sparked a lifelong passion in us as trainers and horsemen, as well as in all of you!
What many inspiring horsemen lack now is that confidence you once had to make your dream come true. That’s where we come in, our horses are that perfect first horse you always dreamed of or could be a safe, willing, and confidence inspiring partner to help you “get back in the saddle”. They have been tried and are true to who they are and every horse representing the Emerald Creek name is a horse we proudly offer to their forever home.
Our Program
Our horses here at Emerald Creek are the all-around perfect partners you have been looking for! Our horses have been carefully chosen at an early age for soundness, confirmation, personality, and trainability. Each horse is started with a solid foundation both on and off the saddle. As they progress through our program, they are developed into the ideal all-around versatile horse. The end result is a soft, supple horse equipped with the foundational skills and lateral movement to excel as a dressage horse, the trail miles needed for overnight camping trips, the ability to jump, the discipline to work with cattle, the experience to drive, and the patience to cater to riders of all levels. Most importantly, they possess the willingness to be a lifelong friend.

Mikey
Currently in our program now and available!
Mikey is such a star! We have really enjoyed bringing him along on our program and are excited to be offering him as an option to be your next arena, trail, show, and everything in between partner! Mikey has done it all while he has been with us! He’s had years of arena training and countless miles on the trails, on and off property. He is super soft in the bridle and through his body and can work off seat and leg cues. He has been a helpful asset in working with our young and upcoming colts, teaching them the ropes on how to be handled, lead and trust. Leading by example. We love to use our go to dependable guys like Mikey as good role models for the young ones. Mikey loves having a job and will excel and try his absolute best in anything you ask of him! Fergus
5 year old Gypsy vanner gelding. Currently going through our program now! Fergus is as safe as they come! He is a wonderful trail horse that would give anyone confidence on and off property. He loves exploring new places and has a quiet study walk that would be easy for anybody to ride. He is confident enough to go out by himself, lead the group, or hang in the way way back with another nervous horse and help them settle down with his calm demeanor.
Any arena he is just a pleasure to work with, he always tries so hard to do the right thing. He is super soft and supple through his body. Has a great foundation in collection and lateral movements and has quiet steady gates. Achilles
4 year old Friesian/ Percheron cross. Achilles is currently growing and going through our program now! He is such a sweetheart and always tries so hard! He has beautiful comfy gaits and is a solid steady guy! We are having so much fun with him and is a joy to work with. He has the potential to be that horse you trail ride to the horse show, compete, place, and then trail ride back home. Be sure to check out our social media pages for updates on his progress!
Wildfire
Coming 4 year old Friesian/ Spotted Draft Cross gelding. Wildfire is such a special soul. He is so kind and gentle and is just a joy to work with, he has always been wise beyond his years and has never had a bad day. He is going to make someone a lifelong partner and best friend.
Freya
Currently in our program! Registered Friesian sport horse. Freya is a 4 year old Friesian/Oldenburg mare. Freya has the beauty, brains, and movement to be your next superstar! Born and raised here on our farm, she has all the potential to be a lifelong partner. Handled daily since birth, she comfortable with English and western tack, crossties, lunges, round pens, and loves to be groomed and loved on. She is out of a purebred Friesian stallion and a Premium Oldenburg mare, boasting impressive bloodlines that trace back to Sandro Hit, one of the top-ranked dressage stallions. Freya has many miles of trail rides under her as well as years of arena training. She has all potential in the world for someone to take her up the dressage levels. Zorros Secret Dance
Zorro is a four-year-old registered gypsy Vanner gelding. Zorro is one of the most special horses we have had through our program. He is just a spectacular horse! He checks all the boxes and would be a perfect addition to any family! It’s so hard to find a horse that looks this good and rides even better! We have had Zorro for the past two years and have enjoyed every minute with this special horse!
From the arena to the trails, this guy has always exceeded our standards and is in a caliber all of his own!
Please check out his video! In his video, you will see a years worth of adventures that we have had with Zorro from rides at home, trail rides at state parks, multiple horse shows, county fairs, the beach, and even a rock concert!
On and off property, Zorro is always a dream to ride and is always up for anything! While being super quiet and gentle, he still has the ability to be an athletic partner and could excel in any discipline. He rides both Western and English. He has been brought along correctly from the start with a great foundation. He has three wonderful smooth gates that are super comfortable for any level of rider. He is soft in the bridle, has the start of lateral movements, and soft through his body. He is a pleasure to have in the barn and is sound with no vices.
Zorro has been used for lessons and has been shown by children. He is our three-year-old’s favorite horse to ride, and it has given him so much confidence in horses and riding.
Our plan for Zorro was to always bring him along in our program and find him his forever home, but while he has been with us, he has become part of our family. Finding him his forever family is so important to us, and we would be happy to answer any questions or for you to come down to meet Zorro!
Teddy
Teddy is the truest version of a real-life teddy bear! He is the most gentle, loving horse with a heart of gold. He has been such a joy to bring along in our program and is a barn favorite of ours and anyone who crosses his path. Teddy is 100% in every way: gentle, safe, and sound.
Teddy is the definition of an all-around horse. He will transition from Western to english with ease, and just loves to trail ride. He will go for hours at a steady, happy walk.
He will lope beautiful circles, and is like riding a big comfy couch. Teddy will move off your aids and leg pressure, side passes to the mounting block for you to mount and dismount, and will lay down. All of this he will do with or without a bridle!
Teddy is safe and gentle enough for children and beginner riders. He has been used for lessons and handles anything new that is thrown his way. This horse is as “bombproof “as they come. Check out his video!
On the trail, Teddy is brave and confident and will take care of his rider from start to finish. He crosses creeks, logs, bridges, and roads. He will go from a steady walk to a lope when asked, then back to a loose-rein walk. He will trail ride alone or with the company of others. From day one Teddy has never questioned anywhere we have pointed him, including the ocean!
Teddy is a beautiful bay roan, is four years old, and stands at 16 hands. He is strong, sturdy and is built to last a lifetime.
Teddy has countless miles of training both in and out of the arena. He has always impressed us with his willingness to work and always says “Yes!” to any question asked of him.
We just can’t say enough great things about this horse! He is exactly how he is presented in his video! He is not only a great horse for the whole family to enjoy riding but will become part of the family with his sweet, loving personality and gentle way. Platinum
Friesian/ Percheron cross 16.1 hands 4 years old. Platinum just has that wow factor! On the outside he has all the looks you can imagine. Steel grey coat with a white tail! He has that beautiful defined head with a soft kind eye, that perfect combination of that uphill Friesian carriage and movement with the solid steadiness of the Percheron, one of our favorite types of cross! On the inside he is just a big softie. He will be happy to just walk along the trail all day but carries himself with his own badge of honor! A horse that if you meet you will never forget!
Spirit
5 year old buckskin draft cross. 15.1 the whole package and then sum! He is our golden boy inside and out! Wonderful trail partner and has the most comfortable steady gaits you will ever ride!
Aspen
5 year old Friesian/ Gypsy Vanner cross. 16 hand tri-colored paint. Aspen is one of the most beautiful horses we have ever had go through our program. He is fantastic in the arena and on the trails! He has the most comfortable canter you will ever ride!
Mavrick
4 year old draft cross
Maverick is a wonderful trail horse and loves exploring. He is the perfect size crossbreed for someone looking for more of that quarter horse build. Check out some videos of him on our social media channels!
Sampson
Gypsy/ Halflinger cross. This fun little horse has been such a pleasure to bring along in our program! He has such a great work ethic and the sweetness personality! He loves to trail ride and has already been to a few English shows! He can do it all!
Milo
4 year old Shire/ Quarter horse cross. Milo is the true definition of the all around horse! He can really do it all! Wonderful trail horse, soft and supple in the arena. Calm and quiet enough for the grandkids and athletic enough to take you to the next level! We have used Milo a lot in training our colts and he is the calm and patient rock that makes our jobs a lot easier!
Rowan

15.3 hands bay Gelding. Rowan is such a fun athletic well minded horse! We could really see him excelling in the dressage ring! He has the best personality and so personable. Would definitely be your best buddy!

100% in every way. You can’t get any safer than this guy. He’s truly a horse of a lifetime!
Truman is a Percheron Friesian cross gelding standing about 16 hands.
He rides english, western, and drives!
He has tons of arena and trail miles and has been through our training program. Although we have put some fancy “buttons” on him he is the kind of horse that was born good and will always stay good. Leave him sit for a month and he will be the same horse every time!
In the arena Truman will have smooth comfy gaits that anybody can ride. He is soft in the bridle and moves off your leg easily for some great lateral movement with balanced transitions. He will work over ground poles and small jumps. Ride him english, western, bareback, you can throw the kids on him and he will always set up to the plate and try his hardest.
On the trail Truman as safe as they come. We will ride out alone or in a group of horses. Crosses logs, rivers, bridges and is traffic safe on the roads with cars, trucks, atvs, and dirt bikes. He will happily walk at a calm steady pace all day long and go anywhere you point him.
Truman loves to stand on the crossties to be groomed, bathed and loved on. He is so gentle, and calm enough for small children to handle. Great for vet and farrier and trailers with no issues. He is an easy keeper and gets along with other horses.
He is a horse that has a lot of heart and is ready to share it with his forever person or family.

Titus has the talent to go In and direction and excels at everything you ask of him. In English tack he is smooth, soft, and supple with amazing movements for dressage. He will even take a jump if you ask him to. In a western saddle he has enough self carriage to hold slow smooth gaits on a loose rein. He loves the trails and will go alone or in a group of horses. We have rode him many miles at home on trails, but have also taken him to many state parks and shows and he always acclimates to new environments easily. On the trail he will go anywhere you point him and will lead or follow. He crosses logs, water and bridges.
Titus’ calmness and willingness under saddle goes hand in hand with his personality on the ground. He will stand for hours to be groomed and loved on and loves being with people. He loves doing liberty work and can bow and lay down.

Ranger has smooth gaits and is quiet, gentle, and forgiving while still having all the buttons! He has a great handle, he will stop, spin and side pass. Ranger has been thru our riding, groundwork and desensitization program. We will ride both western and English and is great with kids! Check out his videos!

Flicka excels in western and English riding for arena and trails and drives like a dream! Flicka has tons of trail miles under her and will happily walk down the trail and go wherever you point her. She crosses logs, streams, bridges with confidence. In the arena Flicka has wonderful smooth gaits and transitions. She will jog and lope slow or move out for more forward movements for English riding and jumping. She has competed at local shows, trail obstacle courses, and been off property many times and rides the same as she does at home. Flicka is great with tarps, whips, and is not spooky. She will side pass to mount and lay down for you to get on and off.

Reba is a four year old gypsy draft cross mare. Pictures do not do her beautiful mahogany colored dapple coat and mane and forelock justice.
She has beautiful smooth comfy gaits and transitions. She can hold collection or travel on a loose rein. She split reins and neck reins with ease. Reba will move off of your leg pressure for lateral movements for engaging her front and hind end. She has a fantastic brain and would excel in any discipline. She can easily transition from english to western tack, arena to the trails.
She has many miles of trail riding and loves to explore new places either alone or in a group. She will cross bridges, logs, go through water,ditches, and is safe with traffic.
